Cycle Repairers and Suppliers of Parts and Accessories

A bit about Francis Thurmer

One of the most formative experiences of my early cycling life:

It is 1969  My first bike is a Dawes 3 speed, resplendent with a brass head badge. francis racing It is put away for its first winter.  By March the chrome rims have turned red with rust.

Only then did my father inform me that what I should have done was put vaseline on the rims!

This single episode has guided the next 48 years of my cycling and cycle mechanicing career; prevention is always better than cure.

The cheapest repair, upgrade, wheel build, maintenance or bike build is the one you do not have to have done again.
